Maris is a native resident of Athens, Georgia. She attended Towson University in Baltimore, MD where she pursued a degree in Communications and then a career in Country Club Management and Event Coordination. The creative side of that industry fueled her passion for design and creating beautiful spaces. She moved back to Athens and studied Interior Design at Athens Technical College.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, their daughter, and her bonus daughter​.​
